Home Repair Academy

workforce development program for Rancho Cordova residents ages 16-30

This spring, SSP will be employing 7 young adults to be a part of the Rancho Cordova Home Repair Academy, a workforce development program to provide young adults job experience and community and career connections. Building on SSP’s history of providing youth and young adults with hands-on experience with tools, home repairs, and high impact community projects, the Academy is focused on exterior carpentry projects for low-income homeowners as well as workforce learning opportunities and connections.

SSP is now hiring 6 Academy fellows and 1 supervisor, ages 16-30, for the spring.

  • Program Fellows (March 25-May 18): $17/hour, 24 hours/week
  • Program Supervisor (March 18-May 18): $18/hour, 40 hours/week

All program participants must reside within the city limits of Rancho Cordova. Questions? Reach out to Program Manager Renee Bradford. We are looking for young adults interested in community service work, home repair carpentry projects, and leadership experience who will benefit from expanding their career pathways.
