Other Ways to Support SSP!

Welcome to SSPAA - The SSP Staff Alumni Association

A place for past and present SSP staffers to get together for fun,

fellowship, and continued service!

What is SSPAA?

SSP is all about building community, right?  The staff alumni association - SSPAA (pronounced "spa") - is envisioned as an exciting, caring community of former SSP staffers who still carry with them their love of SSP and their commitment to its goals and ideals.  For many of us, our service as SSP staffers was one of the most formative experiences of our lives (not to mention one of the most difficult and most fun!)  If this describes you, please join us!

SSPAA's Goals

bullet

To create a network that will unite past staff members of Sierra Service Project for fun, fellowship, and continued service.

bullet

To provide ex-staffers opportunities to volunteer, both in the summer and year round, for the sake of Sierra Service Project's summer mission work.

bullet

To participate and contribute to on-going fund raising efforts, as well as initiate Alumni sponsored fund raising endeavors to benefit Sierra Service Project.

bullet

To give former staffers opportunities to contribute their unique skills and talents to SSP

bullet

To increase the number and value of corporate sponsorships/donations.

bullet

By creating a network of individuals who share a similar powerful, formative experience, we'll help us all develop in our personal, spiritual and professional lives.

What Can You Expect As A Member of SSPAA?

bullet

To reconnect with some old friends and make a lot of new ones.

bullet

To receive a directory of SSP staff alumni.

bullet

Invitations to participate in reunions and service opportunities.

bullet

Occasional interesting, informative and ever-so-witty emails from Jessi, the SSPAA coordinator.

SSP's 2005 StaffFirst things first... where are all the staff alumni?
Do you have contact information for your co-staffers? Are there other staff alumni in your church community you could get in touch with, or put them in touch with me? We want to get a newsletter started as well as some local area activities going on, and the more staff we can get in touch with, the better!

Would you like to be involved with the SSPAA?
In addition to adding your contact information to our records, you may wish to volunteer your fundraising expertise, or your labor, or your time to SSP. We are considering getting a steering committee together to organize the plans and actions of this group, and we’d love for you to be involved with that as well!  Please let us know what you're willing and able to do so that we may make the most of this opportunity to all work together again.

Here’s your SSPAA To-Do List!

Fill out the online membership form.

bullet

Forward this information on to anyone you know of who has served on staff!  Or send us their names and email addresses and we will contact them.

bullet

Send your photos to Jessi (jessi@sierraserviceproject.org) and strut your staff!
